Lunch/Allergies
  • LAUSD student breakfast/lunches – These meals are free of charge to LAUSD students. Students need to let their homeroom teachers know they want one. Families can see the YumYummi app for an idea of possible breakfast/lunch items. Our meals are delivered by Grant High School.
  • Student Store lunches – Student Council sells daily lunch options for $6.00 per meal. (offerings are subject to change). Weekly Meal Cards are available for $30.00:
  • Monday – Dino Nuggets and Fries
  • Tuesday – Quesadilla & Chips 
  • Wednesday – Potstickers and Rice
  • Thursday – Hot Dogs and Hamburgers 
  • Friday – Pizza ($3/slice)
  • Home lunches – students can bring lunches from home. Students are not permitted to use microwaves on campus

Dress code
  • Appropriate dress is defined as clothes that fit the student and contribute to a neat and well-groomed appearance. All private areas and under-garments should be well covered.  Students are always highly encouraged to dress in SV/STEM3 spirit wear. Order forms can be obtained in the front office.
  • Clothing must cover all under-garmets, cleavage, and mid-drifts. 
  • Shirts that are strapless, spaghetti string, show cleavage or mid-drifts are prohibited
  • Students must wear closed toed shoes
  • Inappropriate graphics or references that have the following: drugs, sexual content, violent imagery or weapons are prohibited
  • Shorts/skirts must be no shorter than 3” above the knee or fingertip length (post-it size)
  • Pajamas are prohibited 
  • PE uniforms are to be worn during PE class ONLY – Students are required to wear appropriate athletic wear during PE

Cell Phone/Electronics Policy:

Cell Phone are collected in the morning and passed back in the afternoon. Not allowed on students or in backpacks, etc during the school day. Personal laptops must be registered in the front office. School is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Rules & Expectations
    • Students will treat each other with dignity and respect at all times.
    • Verbal respect includes thinking before speaking. Do not say something that you think will hurt others’ feelings.
    • Physical respect includes keeping your body under control. Do not tap, touch, poke, push, or hit anyone, including horseplay. Physical displays of affection (hugging, kissing) are prohibited.
    • Bullying and teasing will not be tolerated and will be addressed by the Administration in an appropriate manner.
    • Students will respect school property at all times. 
    • Students will maintain appropriate language at all times and refrain from profanity and vulgar language.
    • Students will refrain from bringing contraband items onto the campus or in buses, personal cars or cabs. Possession of any contraband, including but not limited to cigarettes, lighters, drugs, alcohol or weapons is prohibited. Please see consequences
  •  The possession, sale and/or use of any type of cigarettes, alcohol, illegal or legal prescription drugs (unless registered with the nurse) is strictly prohibited on campus or at any school sponsored event. Attending school or a school sponsored event while under the influence of any illegal substance or alcohol is strictly prohibited. Please see consequences.
  • Theft of school property or someone else’s property is prohibited. 
  • Students may not leave campus throughout the school day without prior administration approval.
  • Students must request permission from the teacher to leave the classroom, and should be in possession of a hall pass.  
  • During school field trips or events off campus, students must remain under the supervision of staff at all times. 
  • Harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical or sexual in nature, is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with in a serious manner. Sexual harassment includes any comment, language, joke, slur or unwanted sexual advance or physical gestures that could be interpreted by someone as offensive due to their sex, gender, or orientation.
  • Cyberbullying is strictly prohibited.
