Summit View Valley

Our Mission

Dedication to educating young people with learning differences

Building skills through STEM

At STEM³ Academy, we focus on each student’s strengths as a base, and create strategies to work around their challenging areas to ensure success. Finding strengths in differences is what we do best.

Through a collaborative process that involves the student, parents, and school, each student has specifically designed goals. Our program focuses on the development and needs of the whole student by using their strengths as a base. From there, we create strategies to work around the challenging areas to ensure success.

About Summit View

y

Philosophy

The fundamental areas of learning include the basic skills of reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, and organization in addition to appropriate grade level courses in science, social studies, computer literacy, and physical education. Creativity and self-expression are promoted through electives such as theater, art, and debate.

Student Life

We encourage and provide ample opportunities for students to get involved and participate in activities outside the academic curriculum. Summit View’s small and nurturing environment provides a safe place for students to step outside their comfort zone and get involved in a myriad of activities. Often it is these experiences that students remember well beyond graduation day.

Afterschool Sports

The Athletics Department offers a variety of competitive sports for our elementary, middle and high school students. Intramural sports tournaments are also offered in between students. Additionally, a Sports Clinic is offered to the all three divisions during the extended school year. The elementary school also has the opportunity to participate int he Sports Clinic during the regular school year.

Parent Partnership

The purpose of the Community Association is to support and enhance the activities and programs of Summit View, to encourage participation and cooperation among all members of the school community, and to support fundraising for the benefit of the school. The membership of the Community Association is open to all parents and/or guardians of Summit View students.
